The "Joys of Instrumental Teaching" workshop held on the 29th January was a great success with ten enthusiastic participants meeting at Orane Swan's comfortable premises in Milton for an afternoon of laughter, learning and sharing. The Music Technology Today workshop was a great success with around 30 participants at St Laurences College. Participants saw and heard about the latest resources in Music Technology for education and heard about their application to teaching Generation-Y. There were great trade displays too, and I was eventually convinced not by anyone but myself to buy a softkeys midi keyboard controller. It is so cool. Made of rubber with 37 keys you can plug it into a USB port to enter notes into an application, then fold it up into its pencil case sized pouch. Just the thing for an itinerant music teacher like me.
